Duration: 1x70’
Production year: 2017

Synopsis

For more than four months, a crowd of silent unknown persons sat, in the evening, on the Place de la République in Paris, at the foot of Marianne. All were there to share their angers, their ideals and the same desire: rebase the politics far from the established parties, regain control of their fate, recover up. The "Nuit debout" movement, born on March 31st against the "El Khomri law" on labour, was a surprise by its scale and resounded up to the highest summit of the State. This document puts faces on this multifaceted, complex, elusive movement. For the first time, personalities express themselves over these four months of popular revolt, in particular Secretary Myriam El Khomri, who found herself in the front line of the contesting, but also François Ruffin, the director of "Merci patron!".
