ERASMUS, OUR BEST YEAR

You must log in to watch this program.

In 2017, Erasmus is turning 30 years old. Is it still a way for young people to feel connected to universalist values ?

Category: Current Affairs, Society
Duration: 1x67’
Production year: 2017
Director: Sébastien Legay

Synopsis

At a time when the idea of Europe in itself seems to be more weakened than ever by the rise of euroscepticism and nationalism, this student exchange program has become the most symbolic achievement of the European Union. Free movement of people, collaboration within the members, learning languages … Erasmus is Europe, in its less serious version : young, thrilled, excessive. But in 2017, is Erasmus still a way for young people to feel connected to universalist values ? Through the eyes of 2017 Erasmus Beneficiaries, through the testimonies of the founders of the program, through the stories of its pioneers, and through the personal anecdotes of the European political leaders, Erasmus, Our Best Year offers a journey into what Erasmus represents.
