DEODORANT, AIR FRESHENERS: THE WAR OF ODORS (...AND ITS COLLATERAL DAMAGES)

Category: Current Affairs, Health
Duration: 1 x 52’
Production year: 2015
Director: Elisa Hélain

Synopsis

Tobacco, sweat, dust...smelly odors ruin our lives. We spend our time trying to eliminate them. Spraying our armpits before a work day has become a daily gesture for most of us. In our living rooms as well as in our cars, it’s the same ritual: we must eradicate these odors that invade our homes. Large industrial groups are exploiting the obsession of bad odors. What are the marketing tricks deployed by manufacturers to encourage us to consume more and more deodorants? How are made the products that we use daily? What are the risks on our health?
